Belfire Apothecary grew from my love of candles, oils and herbs, and my passion for supporting women through pregnancy, birth and motherhood.
The name Belfire is inspired by the Beltane festival, traditionally associated with fertility, life and the union of masculine and feminine energies.

The Candles
Both Lavender and Rose & Jasmine are aromas used to help through labour and postpartum.
The candles are made from soy wax, floral aromas and calming crystals.
The Oils

The Herbs
Each of the teas (chai) are in Swahili, inspired by my gap year in 2005.
Uzazi – Raspberry leaf and rosehip tea, created for the preparation for birth.
Mama – A nourishing blend of gotu kola, alfalfa, lavender and pink rose for the postnatal period
Tiisha – A blend of peppermint, chamomile and sage for women wishing to suppress lactation.
Fanny Spray
A soothing postpartum spritz made with aloe vera, witch hazel, frankincense and clary sage.
Designed to support perineal care and caesarean scar care during the postpartum period.
The Goddess Candle

Birth Comb
A traditional tool used during labour to provide a focal point for comfort and coping with contractions. The pressure of holding the comb in the palm may help redirect attention during labour.
